Professional Driver Training in Land Rover Vehicles (Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery, Freelander & Defender) to Borda standards. Winch operating and trailer courses available. Located between Harpenden and Luton. Standard courses include a Half-Day Awareness or a Full-Day Level 1 Familiarisation, so there is something to suit every level of experience from novice to expert. We aim to make each course as relevant to your requirements as possible. Whether you are on your own or part of a group, we offer you an experience you'll never forget.

Half Day Awareness Course

Course Duration: Three hours starting at 9.00am or 1.00pm, with up to three delegates per vehicle

With the focus on enjoyment as well as an introduction to the basics of off-road driving, this half-day course will guide and train you to an acceptable but basic standard in off-road driving techniques - and will undoubtedly whet your appetite for more ambitious off-roading.

With instruction on the controls and workings of the vehicle, plus basic maintenance, it is ideal for the total newcomer curious to see what a Land Rover can handle. It is also the perfect gift for someone who enjoys the thrill of adventure and the challenge of honing their off road driving skills.

Half day awareness course conducted in one of the following vehicles: Defender, Freelander, or Discovery 4 195.00 per person*
Half day awareness course conducted in one of the following vehicles: Range Rover Sport or Range Rover 225 per person*

Full Day Level 1 Familiarisation Course

Course Duration: Full day, 9.00am to 4.00pm, with up to three delegates per vehicle.

Learn the key skills of negotiating tough terrain the Land Rover way. Level 1 incorporates everything from the Half Day course but provides more driving time to build your confidence and experience. This course will guide and train you to an acceptable, but basic, standard in off-road driving techniques.

Specific days can be tailored to meet the demands of using a 4x4 in the work place. This provides your staff and operators with adequate knowledge to work competently with their vehicles off road.

Full day Level one course conducted in one of the following vehicles: Defender or Discovery 4 295.00 per person including lunch*
Full day Level one course conducted in one of the following vehicles: Range Rover Sport or Range Rover 325 per person including lunch*

Full Day Level 2 Advanced Course

Duration: Full day, 9.00am to 4.00pm, up to three delegates per vehicle

This course is designed to teach an advanced level in off-road driving techniques. You will build on the Level 1 experience by adding a safety and risk assessment dimension and we'll help you make practical and calculated judgements depending on conditions and nature of the obstacle. You will be required to successfully complete the Full Day Level 1 Course prior to undertaking the Advanced Level 2 Course.

This course, in line with Land Rover's Fragile Earth policy, will promote care for the environment and guide participants in safe, responsible off-road driving. It will also help participants to understand the controls, workings and basic maintenance of the vehicle.

Full day Level Two (Need to have completed a Land Rover Level 1 course first) usually conducted in a Defender: 375.00 per person including lunch*

Two Day Winching Course

On the winching course you'll be guided and trained in the safe operation of a drum type electric or hydraulic winch mounted to a Land Rover vehicle. You will also be taught the necessary driving skills required during a winching operation. This course includes basic winch handling skills, direct and indirect self-recovery, use of pulley blocks, third party vehicle recovery.

Two day Winching Course: 500.00 per person including lunch*

Full Day Trailer Handling Course

Our course is designed to teach off-road trailer handling techniques using a Land Rover with a flatbed or box trailer. This course is challenging, and will take into consideration your current trailer handling skills, experience and future application. It will help you understand basic off-road driving techniques and the controls and workings of the vehicle and trailer, including maintenance checks. We can also provide more specific information about horseboxes and caravans.

Full day trailer handling course:250.00 per person including lunch*

Sole Occupancy

If you wish to secure the vehicle for sole occupancy, the rates are: -

Half day Awareness Course for up to 3 people: 295 per vehicle*

Full day Level 1 Familiarisaton Course for up to 3 people: 575 per vehicle including lunch*

Full day Level 2 Advanced Course for up to 3 people: 600.00 per vehicle including lunch*

Full day Trailer Handling Course for up to 2 people: 500 per vehicle including lunch*

BORDA Certificated Training

BORDA (British Off Road Driving Association) is the UK's only professional Association dedicated to Off Road Driving at Authorised Venues throughout the UK.

The BORDA Standard Level Course (1 day) for recreational and occasional commercial driving for up to 3 people at 575.00 + vat including lunch

The BORDA Advanced Higher Level Course (2 days) for regular commercial users for up to 3 people at 1,050 + vat including lunch
